Senior treasury officer and Urban Body Election Expenditure in-charge Officer lanjrus Minj has issued notice to six candidates in the urban body elections for not submitting their expenditure details in time. They have been asked to submit the expenditure details by December 27.
According to officials the candidates who have been issued notices include Manoranjani Kujur, a candidate of Congress for the post of Nagar Panchayat chairman Sant Kabir Nagar ward Sitapur, BJP candidate Prabhavati Singh for the post of Nagar Panchayat chairman Sant Kabir Nagar ward Sitapur, independent candidate Akhilesh Maharaj for the post of chairman Nagar Panchayat lakhanpur, independent candidate Ramesh Kumar Jaiswal for the post of chairman Nagar Panchayat lakhanpur, BJP candidate Dinesh Kumar Sahu for the post of chairman Nagar Panchayat lakhanpur and Congress candidate Rajesh Agrawal for the post of Chairman Nagar Panchayat lakhanpur.
Officials said that these candidates were asked to maintain record of the election expenditure and to submit the expenditure details to the officer in-charge. However, none of these candidates submitted the expenditure details till date. Minj has also asked the Mayoral candidates to submit the expenditure details by December 27. The Mayoral candidates who have been asked to submit the details include BJP candidate Manjusha Bhagat, Congress candidate Dr Ajay Tirkey, Anju Minj and independent candidate Tarun Kumar Bhagat. These candidates have not submitted the expenditure details till date, the officials said.
