The Medical Education Department in Chhattisgarh has slapped a notice to the Director Medical Education (DME), Vishnu Datt, for dereliction of duty.
Datta has been charged with laxity in purchases under the budget allocated to the Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corp (CGMSC). No action was taken by him till the government issued a letter to him.
“The budget was allocated on June 9, 2022 but the official neglected it. This comes under dereliction of duty”, the letter said.
A clarification has been sought from him within seven days failing which the government could take a one-sided disciplinary action under Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rule 1966, the letter warned.
