The returning officer concerned has served notices on three candidates — BJP candidate Rajesh Munat and BSP candidate Anil Mishra from Raipur West constituency and BJP candidate from Raipur Rural constituency Nandkumar Sahu — for hiding expenses in the Assembly election-2013 election expenses account.
If the candidates are not agreed with the notice, they can present their views in front of the district expenses observation committee with within 48 hours. If the reply of the candidates are not satisfactory, the observer Sangeeta will add the hidden expenses with the election expenses of the candidate. In the expenses account submitted on November 6, Rajesh Munat had not mentioned the expenses of vehicles, posters, cutouts, flex, flags and band etc., which accumulates to Rs 25,150 spent at the time of filling the nomination papers.
Similarly, Anil Mishra had hidden expenses of Rs 5,800 and Nand Kumar Sahu had not mentioned the expenses of Rs 4,200 in the account.
