Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Kujur on Tuesday announced that the ‘None Of The Above’ (NOTA) had been made available on EVMs readied for the Assembly polls in the State.
Following a Supreme Court directive, the ‘NOTA” option is being made available by the Election Commission of India in the poll going states, according to an official press release issued here on Tuesday.
Kujur stated in the press statement that the voters can use the ‘NOTA’ option in complete secrecy.
The Election Commission of India will separately compile the result sheet in its form 20 during counting to display the number of voters who used the None of the The Above ‘NOTA’ option while casting their vote, it was learnt.
