NMDC Ltd has bagged prestigious 'Rajabasha Award' and second prize in PSU category of ‘C’ Region at a function held at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday as a part of ‘Hindi Day Celebrations’, a company press release informed.
The said award was presented by Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu and received by Usha Singh, Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) in presence of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of State (Home) Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State (Home) Kiren Rijiju, Secretary, Official Language Department and other dignitaries.
NMDC is always committed for implementation of Official Language Policy of Govt. of India. In recognition of these efforts, NMDC received many prestigious awards in the field of Rajbhasha such as “Rajbhasha Samman” 1st prize from Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India and “Rajabhasha Shield-First prize, Best Magazine award for NMDC’s house magazine “Khanij Bharati”, it informed.
The company regularly conducts Rajbhasha Conferences/Seminars, publication of “Khanij Bharati” regularly competitions and
Hindi workshops for the employees of other PSUs in Hyderabad under TOLIC apart from conducting Hindi
workshops and Hindi competitions for the employees of NMDC at Head Office, Hyderabad and all Projects & Plants of NMDC, the press release informed.
NMDC encourages its employees for more and more usage of Hindi in their official works through monthly Hindi incentive schemes.
