He said that practicing managers come across various issues related to law very frequently so it is very valuable to understand law in a systematic manner. He said that all labour law and legislation are meant for the protection of employees and probably there would not have been need for laws if every industry could protect the interest of all its employees. But to ensure justice, objectivity and uniformity, knowledge of law becomes of utmost value.
Academic inputs become important to refresh knowledge, appreciate the complexities of law and save time in understanding the relevant judgments and application of different landmark cases. He mentioned that law is a very vast field and it would take a very long time and effort to get into the nuances of plethora of laws.
He commended Srivastava on the way she threw lights on the subject by delivering the talk in a compact manner despite the time constraint.
In the beginning HR Choudhury, Vice Chairman, NIPM Bhilai Chapter, and Acting General Manager (Personnel), Bhilai Steel Plant welcomed the participants.
