nNine Covid-19 suspects were found in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district. These include three labourers and six state government employees, officials said on Thursday, even as one more patient was discharged from AIIMS Raipur.
“Three labourers who had returned recently from Odisha and were in quarantine were found coronavirus positive in the rapid test kit test," Mahasamund District Collector Sunil Jain said.
"Also, six government employees including a Nayab Tahsildar, a Revenue Inspector, a Patwari and health workers who were on duty at Sanghoda checkpost in Saraypali were detected positive in the rapid test,” Jain said.
The samples of all nine have been sent to Raipur for RT-PCR test, he added.
A few days back, in Surajpur district, nine labourers returning from Maharashtra tested Covid-19 positive. But in the later RT-PCR test six of them were detected positive.
Meanwhile, one more Covid-19 patient from Surajpur was discharged from AIIMS Raipur after recovery, leaving only three patients in the institute.
A total of 54 Covid-19 patients were earlier treated and discharged from AIIMS Raipur, officials said.
