Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Ravindra Choubey on Sunday termed Narva, Garva, Ghurva, Badi (NGGB) a milestone scheme in boosting rural economy in the state.
Choubey was addressing a-day-long workshop on NGGB and annual convention of SC/ST Veterinary Doctors association being held at New Circuit House.
The development of state could only be attained with development of villages and the NGGB scheme will not only strengthen the rural economy but would also generate employment for rural youths, he opined.
The NGGB, Suraji Gaon scheme would also promote organic cultivation and there is tremendous awareness globally about usage of organic food, he said. He further stated that the Gauthans (cowsheds) would now become a symbol of development in state.
On this occasion he appealed the veterinary doctors to show interest in developing cowsheds in state. Citing an example of Gandhi Gram Kandel in Dhamtari district, Choubey appealed for construction of cowsheds with public’s contribution.
