News channel cameraman, mother die in road mishap

Two persons including a young cameraman working with a regional news channel and his mother were killed after a rashly driven truck rammed into their bike at Raipur-Bilaspur national highway at Simga on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rakesh Chauhan (24) and his mother Kamlesh Bai Chauhan (40), they were heading on a motorbike to Pausri village when the mishap occurred at Dhekuna village under Simga police station limits around 9 am, Assistant Sub Inspector SK Qureshi informed.

Chauhan was working as camera person with Etv New MP/Chhattisgarh channel at Raipur.

Meanwhile, the ASI infomed that the truck had hit them from the side after which they came under the wheels of the truck.
