Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) president Bhupesh Baghel on Monday alleged that the death of newborns in Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital in Raipur was because of lack of oxygen supply to the Neo Natal Unit.
The incident is unbearable and unforgiveable, he told reporters.
Meanwhile, Congress party has formed a five-member Committee to enquire into alleged death of three new borns in Dr Ambedkar Hospital.
The Chairperson of Congress Medical Cell Dr Rakesh Gupta will head the team and will enquire on several set points, he said.
Baghel also visited the hospital on Monday evening to review the situation and met the families of newborns who had died in the hospital.
He informed that the enquiry team has been asked to submit its report as soon as possible.
