Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former President Rahul Gandhi will lay the foundation stone of the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building on August 29 at 12 noon at Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant, Public Works Department Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ravindra Choubey, Deputy Speaker Manoj Mandavi, other cabinet ministers, MPs and MLAs will attend the event.
Speaker Mahant on Friday inspected the site and the preparations for the foundation stone laying ceremony. He was accompanied by Minister Sahu and Deputy Speaker Mandavi.
The Speaker gave directions to the Public Works Department to make some changes at the site.
