Amid allegations and counter allegations on skywalk, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said he was neither opposing nor supporting the sky walk project initiated by the previous BJP government.

He said his government was just taking suggestions from people about the possible usages of the structure.

Baghel was talking to a section of media persons here at Swami Vivekanand Airport, Mana before proceeding to national capital for participating in a meeting of Niti Ayog.

Commenting on statement of former minister and BJP leader Rajesh Munat, Baghel said would any of the BJP leader dare to stand on skywalk for an hour during afternoon hours. The CM further claimed that there were irregularities in the process of construction of skywalk.

Notable, Munat addressing a press conference on Thursday declared that the BJP would hit the streets if public money was wasted just for the sake of politics.

Munat further urged the Congress government not to politicise the public-utility related developments, which should be seen in positive note.

He suggested that if “government takes initiative to do some technical changes in the project, BJP will support the move.”
