nChhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday stressed the need to follow the path shown by Guru Ghasidas who preached equality.
He was addressing the Guru Ghasidas Jayanti programme organized at New Rajendra Nagar on the eve of the saint's birth anniversary.
“Guru Ghasidas devoted his entire life for uplift and improve the welfare of human beings. We must embrace his message ‘Mankhe Mankhe Ek Samaan’, which is meant for human equality," Baghel said.
Citing the teachings of Guru Ghasidas, he said: “Everyone should walk on the path of truth and work for humanity.
“With the blessings of saints and legendary personalities in Chhattisgarh, I got the opportunity to serve the people and have completed three years in office," he said.
Baghel announced a grant of Rs 50 lakhs for a community building at New Rajendra Nagar.
