The National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has given accreditation to the State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) here, it was announced on Monday. The institute was established in 2006 on the initiative of Tourism Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, an official press release said. Presently, 53 students are pursuing BSc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration), Diploma in Food Production, Diploma in Food and Beverage Services and Diploma in Housekeeping. Officials said the institute aims to provide excellent manpower for hospitality service by training to youths of Chhattisgarh and other states in hospitality and hotel management.
