The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Air Wing celebrated its Foundation Day at Government Science College ground here on Sunday.
The programme was participated by Flight lieutenant VK Choubey .
He informed that NCC Air Wing was established in 1948 and since then, every year, on the fourth Sunday of November NCC Air Wing Foundation Day is celebrated.
The Foundation Day is celebrated in different states differently. The main objective of the NCC Air Wing is to create interest amongst the youth of the nation pertaining to aviation activities.
In the Flying Squadrons, besides normal training, cadets are imparted training in gliding and flying Microlite planes.
About 120 cadets from Durga College, Science College and BIT Durg took part in the celebration.
Different cultural programmes such as songs, dances and skits were performed on the occasion. A skit over cleanliness was also played by the cadets.
