District Collector and District Electoral Officer, Himshikhar Gupta on Thursday suspended Probationary Nayab Tehsildar of the district Kunal Pandey for dereliction in electoral duty.
The officer was absent from duty and also from electoral work for long without taking prior permission. The absence of official was affecting the electoral work and hence the action was being taken, the suspension order says.
The action against him was taken under rule 9 (1) (a) of Chhattisgarh Civil Services Act under which Pandey was suspended with immediate effect.
The Tehsildar’s headquarters during the suspension period would be Tehsil office Saraipali.
