Four hardcore Naxals including a section commander of Maoist military company fell in net of Special Task Force (STF) during a routine search operation carried out in Naxal stronghold Kondagaon district. The arrested Naxals jointly carried reward of `12 lakh on their heads, a senior police officer said here on Saturday.
They were all involved in serious criminal incidents like murder, attempt to murder, arson, loot, and damaging public property, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kondagaon Abhishek Meena informed. The guerrillas were arrested during a search operation/area domination exercises carried out in the jungles near Kadenar village of the district.
Arrested left wing ultras were identified as Singhrai alias Pramod Netam, Rukdhar Vatti, alias Shivlal Kashyap alias Bhaskar, lakshman Vatti, Sitaram Mandavi all residents of Narayanpur and Raiman alias lalsai hailing from Mardapal area of Kondagaon district.
Singhrai was section commander in Maoist Military Company number 6 while Rukdhar Vatti was deputy commander of lOS (local Operating Squad) in Bhanpuri. Similarly Raiman alias lalsay was Janmilitai Commander active in Chhoteusari village and Sitaram Mandavi was vice president of Jantana Sarkar (local government) of Temrugaon in the district, the SP said.
