Security forces gunned down a Naxal following an encounter in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Thursday, police said. The gunfight occurred around 9 am in a forest patch of Singhanmadgu village, located around 500 km from the capital Raipur, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sukma Jitendra Shukal said.
When one of the patrolling teams was cordoning off the forest of Singhanmadgu, a group of armed ultras fired at the security personnel, leading to the gun-battle, he said.
