State Government has sanctioned construction of nine pre-matric girls’ hostel building in Bastar (Jagdalpur) district which is India’s one of the most illiterate districts.
Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Development department has made this provision in the budget of current fiscal year 2015-16.
This includes construction of buildings for Tribal Girls’ Hostel Mohlai (B) in Bakawand block, Tribal Girls’Hostel Mutanpal in Bastanar block, Tribal Girls' Hostel Kesharpal and Tribal Girls’ Hostel Kungarpal in Bastar block, Tribal Girls’ Hostel Dhodhrepal, Tribal Girls’ Hostel Chingpal, and Tribal Girls’ Hostel Kokawada in Darbha block, and Tribal Girls’ Hostel Nagarnar and Tribal Girls' Hostel Nangur in Jagdalpur block of Bastar district.
