Police arrested a hardcore Naxal from a forested patch of Dhaudai police station in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district on Saturday.
The arrested Naxal was expert in making and detonating bombs, Additional Superintendent of Police, Narayanpur OP Sharma informed. He informed that arms, ammunitions and materials used in making bombs were also seized from his possession.
A combined Police team had arrested him during a search operation carried out in a forested area of Maraskola jungles under Dhaudai police station. The arrested left wing insurgent was identified as Santu alias Durga Korram resident of Narayanpur district.
Steel containers, multi-meters, cordex wire, electricity switches, electricity testers, live bullets of 12 bore gun, wire cutters, an instruction manual about making bobby traps, batteries and other items of daily used, were found from his possession, the ASP informed.
