nChhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Thursday wrote to the ‘Shri Ram Janbhumi Tirth Trust’ seeking information about persons and institutions authorized to collect donations for the construction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
In the letter to Champat Rai, General Secretary of ‘Shri Ram Janbhumi Tirth Trust’ New Delhi, Jain said a few incidents have been reported in Chhattisgarh where certain undesirable elements have got fake receipts printed seeking money for the temple construction.
He mentioned the case in Bilaspur wherein a woman got fake receipts printed for collecting donations. Police have registered a case against the woman.
The Chief Secretary asked Rai to provide the names of persons, institutions and trusts authorized in Chhattisgarh to collect money. This will help in stopping fake money collections in the name of temple, Jain wrote.
