Nagarnar integrated steel plant which is expected to be commissioned later this year, will entirely change the face of Bastar with ancillary industries coming along with it would certainly make a huge impact in job creation and development, claimed Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday.
like Bhilai Steel Plant, it (Nagnarnar) would also become an industrial hub and an all-round development would be witnessed”, opined Chief Minister Raman Singh while addressing a press conference here during his on-going Vikas Yatra.
Nagarnar is based on outskirts of Jagdalpur, headquarters of Bastar region, where the public sector mining major National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is in final stage of setting up a three million tonne per annum (MTPA)steel plant. The plant is expected to go on stream by October this year as per the NMDC chairman-cum-managing director N. Baijendra Kumar.
Singh further said that the State Government has started ‘Vikas Yatra’ with blessings of Goddess Maa Dantwshwari and like earlier, this time too we are going to form the government for the fourth consecutive term,’’.
launching a scathing attack on Congress and its ‘Vikas Khojo Yatra’, Singh said, “there was no need to go and search the development, it is visible at everywhere, the state has a web of quality roads and power supply is available round the clock,’’
Replying to a query about delay in establishment of Mega Steel Plant in Dilmili, Singh said soon after witnessing positive changes due to establishment of Nagarnar, the impediments in land acquisition for it would be cleared.
“We are not compelling the affected people to give up their land. Once they will understand the benefits, they themselves would come forward to handover their land for their own benefit as well as for the benefit of the region”, he said.
