The North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) hosted the Hartalika Teej festival for Chhattisgarhi families in the US on Thursday.
This is the first time that Chhattisgarhi NRIs performed Hartalika Teej rituals together, an official communication said on Friday.
NACHA founder Deepali Saraogi said traditional Chhattisgarhi sanctified offerings were offered and so were prayers. "We will be having more such events across the world for our Chhattisgarhi families."
