Nand Kumar Sai, BJP Member of Parliament, reacting over the cowardly act of Naxals in which nephew of Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Vikarm Usendi, Sumat Usendi was killed in Kanker, said tribal people are being killed in the massacre carried out by Naxlas.

“Whether it may be villagers or security personal or Naxals killed in so called red-rebel in Bastar region, a major chunk of them are Tribal people,” said Sai. The BJP MP from Chhattisgarh talking with The Pioneer over phone said political parties must rise above the political interest and then fight against this menace. According to Sai the seriousness required for solving this problem is lacking at the national level.

“Until police, administration and villagers do not work in coordination with each other the Naxal menace could not be uprooted and this coordination is lacking in the Bastar region,” Sai claimed. Sharing his experiences over Naxal problem in Surguja, he said the Naxal problem in Surguja was solved only after people extended their optimum support to administration and security forces. Sai stressed that mutual confidences and trust is the only key to solve this problem.
