nMutual cooperation within a society can make it well-organized and progressive but everyone's contribution is necessary for this, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday.
He was addressing the two-day 75th general convention of the Chhattisgarh Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj in village Alda in Raipur district, an official communication said.
Without mutual cooperation, no new direction can be given to any society, he said. He compared a society to the Ganges.
He added that Chhattisgarh is an agriculture dominant state and is linked with the Kurmi community whose members played a key role in the country's freedom struggle.
In larger interests of the society, it is necessary that all the members should cooperate in creating awareness for inculcating good thoughts and building goodwill, Baghel said.
The Chief Minister announced Rs 20 lakhs each for the construction of a community hall and a ‘Mangal Bhawan’.
