PWD, Housing and Environment Minister Rajesh Munat on Thursday visited Khamtarai locality in Raipur.The Minister during his visit met residents of the area and inspected the status quo of public facilities and cleanliness.On request of the people, Munat announced sanction of Rs one lakh for expansion of Yadav Community Hall in Veer Shivaji Ward, and also approved construction of two additional rooms in Municipal Higher Secondary School in Khamtarai.
The Minister walked through the lanes of Khamtarai locality and instructed officials concerned to maintain cleanliness in each and every lane of the area.He gave instructions to appoint sufficient number of sanitation workers for the task and also to monitor their work on regular basis.Munat also gave necessary instructions to ensure daily disposal of garbage and cleaning of drains, to avert the problem of water-logging during rainy season.
He directed the officials concerned to do spot-inspection on regular basis to ensure effective sanitation arrangements.During his visit, the Minister inspected the construction sites in the locality and gave strict instructions for adherence to quality standards in pond beautification work and drains construction etc.Meanwhile, Munat also interacted with the residents of the area and enquired about status quo of public facilities.
