Minister for Commerce and Industry and in-charge of Rajnandgaon district Rajesh Munat held a meeting with the officials to review the preparations being made for the Vikas Yatra in the district.
The Minister directed the officials to appoint a Nodal Officer responsible for ensuring proper arrangements at the venue of public meetings to be held during the Vikas Yatra of the CM Raman Singh.He directed the Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to ensure proper drinking water arrangements at the venue.
The Minister said that different stalls be put up for distribution of items and cheques under various welfare schemes of the State Government.Munat directed that the overhead power lines be kept high besides the gates erected to welcome the Yatra.
The Minister directed that exhibitions of various departments be put up for providing various information to the people besides preparation of a ‘chariot’ showcasing the various government schemes of the State Government.Munat also directed to publicise the development works in the gram panchayats on the way of the Vikas Yatra.During the meeting, District Collector Ashok Agarwal informed that the preparations for the Vikas Yatra are in their last leg and preparations are underway for putting barricades, preparations of stage and seating arrangements at the venue of the public meetings.
