More than 400 persons took the membership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a massive district level drive launched here at Ghadi Chowk in the presence of Chhattisgarh Agricultural Minister Brijmohan Agarwal.
Speaking on the occasion, Agarwal said it is due to the sincere efforts of Chief Minister Raman Singh that Dhamtari is shortly going to be upgraded as a Municipal Corporation. He appealed to the party workers to provide full cooperation in registering more and more members to the party.
Former MlA Inderchand Chopra termed the large membership interst among people as the NaMo effect while saying that a large number of people have shown interest in becoming member of the party.
