Amid a steep hike in Covid-19 cases and objections from the employees' union, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday announced a slew of measures including increasing the number of buses to ferry employees to and from the Secretariat at Naya Raipur in a bid to check the virus.
After meeting Mantralaya employees' union, the Secretaries of General Administration Department (GAD) decided to arrange sanitization measures in the offices of senior officers and arrange regular health check-up camps, an official press release said.
By next Sunday, the Secretariat and Head of Department (HOD) building will be also sanitized. A weekly attendance roster will be prepared for Division officers and lower rank employees, it said.
Every week only a third of the officers and employees will be called for duty. At the Mantralaya, the Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Additional Secretary will be in office only one day in a week. Likewise, in HOD offices, Additional Directors and Deputy Directors will come to office only once.
Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, health camps will be held in Mantralaya.
