The mop up round for administering deworming medicine to children and adolescents aged between 1 and 19 years will be held on Wednesday in schools and Anganwadi centres in Chhattisgarh.
It is being organized for those who could not take it during the National Deworming Day on September 9, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Giving anthelmintic medicine to children and youngsters is essential for good health, nutrition and quality life, it said.
Children may experience some common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mild abdominal pain and tiredness due to worms in the body, it added.
In addition, children who have acute worm infestation usually may also experience some temporary side-effects, which can be easily taken care of in school and Anganwadi centers, the release said. If these symptoms are found in children and adolescents, they should be given clean drinking water and kept under supervision, it added.
