Taking cue from the inspection of ashram schools and hostels, officials would soon start conducting monthly inspection in ‘Aanganbadi Centers’ operational in the  district.

The move had been made to ensure distribution of nutritious food and requisite education to children in ‘Aanganbadi Centers’ before they get enrolled in schools.

A directive in this connection was given by the District Collector Niranjan Das during ‘Time-limit’ (Tl) meeting on Tuesday.

Besides, the Collector has given specific directives to programme officers of Woman and Child Development Department.

Meanwhile, he also directed officials concerned to host skill development training for helpless and differently-abled women.

Moreover, the Collector has ordered officials of Public Health Engineering Department to ensure adequate supply of drinking water during the coming summer season and also suggested officials to make arrangements so that water from rivers and nullahs could be used.

On the occasion, the Collector has asked officials to initiate moves for deepening of ponds under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).

He also reviewed the progress of toilet construction works ongoing in villages under Clean India Mission.
