Following lodging of a molestation complaint against a teacher in a police station, the school administration concerned has refused to give admission form for the higher class to a girl student.

According to sources, the principal of Holy Cross School Kampa, in a clear word said that it was the internal matter of the school whether it has to give admission to student or not.

The sources said, a girl student of the school had lodged a complaint against a teacher of the school with the Pandri police station on February 21. In the written complaint, the student had accused that on January 24  teacher Saroj Sahu had tried to molest her, when she was alone in the school. On the complaint of the victim, the Pandri police had registered a case against teacher Saroj Sahu.

The sources said, before making a complaint with the police, the victim student had made a complaint with the principal of the school in this regard, but the principal, even after constituting a committee, did not take any action against the accused teacher.

The sources said, after making complaint against the teacher, the problems of the victim student had increased. The principal allegedly had called the guardian of the student in the school and in full public view abused him. The school management was annoyed with the student for making complaint with the police, the sources added.

It is learned that the school management was allegedly mounting pressure on the girl student to change her statement and not providing admission form to her for the higher class.

According to Pandri police station in-charge Sandhya Dwivedi, molestation charge has been registered against the teacher and he was arrested. He got bail from the court also. On the harassment of the girl student by the school management, the officer said, she would take action if she got any complaint in this regard.

However, the principal of the school, Fr Rodrigs refuted the charges that the school management was interfering in the molestation issue, but on the issue of refusing admission form for the higher class to the victim student, the principal said it was the internal matter of the school to give admission to any body.
