Modi govts’ strategy on Kashmir has failed: Baghel

Published on:

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday made a scathing attack on the Modi government and said its strategy on Kashmir has proved to be a complete     failure.

Baghel was talking to reporters at the helipad in Police Lines here before heading to North Bastar (Kanker) region as part of his public interaction drive ‘Bhent Mulaqat’.

Commenting over the targeted killings in Kashmir, he demanded to know why the BJP and RSS were silent over these incidents.

He said that although the BJP leaders earlier claimed that the abrogation of Article 370 would normalise the    situation in Jammu and Kashmir, that did not       happen.

“BJP leaders were    claiming that after revoking the special status to Jammu and Kashmir, everything will be normal there. Why did that not happen? Why are the BJP and RSS now silent when Hindus are being killed there?”

Baghel wanted to know what the government was doing to ensure that Hindus are protected in Kashmir.

When the government cannot protect government employees, then what about the common people, he asked.
