Minister for Industry, Urban Development and Commercial Tax Amar Agrawal inaugurated a ‘Jankalyan Mela’ exhibiting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA Government in one year, at a function held on the lal Bahadur Shastri School campus here the other day.
Agrawal was the chief guest, while MlA Badridhar Diwan and Divisional Commissioner Sonmoni Borah were special guests of the function. Member of Parliament lakhanlal Sahu presided.
The State Government and about a dozen nationalised banks are participating in the Mela to exhibit their achievements and for implementing the schemes of the Government for the benefit of the people.
Addressing the gathering, Agrawal said the Narendra Modi Government after assuming power has fulfilled all the poll promises.
He said that despite the opposition trying its best to foil the efforts, the government at the Centre has launched schemes for the uplift of farmers, the poor and economically backward class.
Agrawal said that the BJP has planned a series of programme on the completion of one year of Narendra Modi Government and ‘Jankalyan Parv’ is being observed in every part of the nation.
“The BJP plans to make people across the country aware of the achievements, good Governance and completion of successful first year of the Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
Camps to promote ‘Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana’ are also being organised to make people aware of the dream schemes envisioned by the Prime Minister, he said.
“The first year of the NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved to be far better than 10 years of UPA rule.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lived up to his promise of ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’ and done a lot for the poor, the farmers, the labour class, traders, the industrialists and all other classes of the society, including youths of India”, he said.
