A 30-year-old man was lynched by an angry mob after he allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl in Dhorgaon village under the limits of Utai police station on Thursday, informed Inspector General of Police (Durg) MS Tomar.
The deceased was identified as Paras Thakur (30). “He had allegedly sexually exploited a nine-year-old girl on Thursday. later, the girl narrated her ordeal in front of her parents and then identified Paras Thakur as the man behind the crime. Enraged residents caught Thakur and roughed up him in black and blue. “Police after getting information reached the spot and rushed Thakur to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” the IG said.
