More than 19 lakh people have benefitted under the Chief Minister’s Urban Slum Health Scheme. On an average, more than one lakh patients are treated through Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) every month.
An official communiqué on Wednesday said the MMUs operating in the state were providing medical services and medicine to the urban population in slum areas.
This scheme is meeting the expectations of the people and winning their trust, it said.
The organization of health camps in the locality has made it easier for people to get timely treatment. Now, the underprivileged and needy people no longer have to worry when they fall ill.
The communiqué said that the scheme was started in 14 Municipal Corporations of the state on November 1, 2020 under the guidance and supervision of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahariya.
The government has expanded the scope of the scheme. Now people in all the urban bodies are reaping its benefits.
