The MMI Narayana Multispeciality Hospital has commenced a ten-day long Nephrology Screening Camp at the hospital in Raipur. The camp will be held till September 20, 2014. Dr Sunil Dharmani, Consultant Nephrologist will be available for consultation during the camp on all days except Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.
Patients suffering from chronic kidney disorders and diabetic kidney diseases may visit the camp, a press release issued by the hospital on Sunday stated. Dr Dharmani, Consultant, Nephrologist who specialises in Kidney Transplants at MMI Narayana Multispeciality Hospital Raipur said, “In chronic kidney diseases there is a progressive loss in kidney functions over a period, which could be anywhere from a few months to a few years.’
The patients experiencing symptoms such as passing more urine, or frequent urination during night, swelling in the face and feet, shortness of breath must opt for kidney screening, he said.
