Ganesh Shankar Mishra, IAS, on Monday took over charge as the new Commissioner of Directorate of Public Relations (DPR), at Directorate premises in Chhotapara locality of the city. Outgoing DPR Director Rajat Kumar, IAS , handed over the charge to Mishra. Kumar congratulated and extended best wishes to Mishra for taking up the new responsibility.
On the occasion, Mishra also took charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DPR’s associate organisation ‘Chhattisgarh Samwad’. Officials of DPR and Chhattisgarh Samwad were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that Ganesh Shankar Mishra has been temporarily entrusted with the additional charges of Excise Commissioner, Ex-officio Secretary Commercial Tax (Excise and Registration), Secretary, Public Relations, and Managing Director Beverage Corporation untill further orders. Rajat Kumar has been appointed Joint Secretary to Chief Minister, Director, Aviation and CEO Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA).
