A 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually exploited by a youth in Birgaon area. The accused who was a neighbour of the victim is yet to be arrested, police said here on Saturday.
The accused was identified as Amit Yadav, a resident of Birgaon locality, informed the Station House Officer Urla, Meena Choudhury.
Detailing about the incident, the SHO stated that about a week back, Amit Yadav finding the girl alone,forcefully entered into the victim’s house and exploited her sexually.
The victim after the incident, under mental pressure did not disclosed the matter, however, on Saturday, she narrated her ordeal before parents who then reported the matter to police, SHO maintained adding, Amit Yadav is labourer by profession.
An offence in this regard was registered against the accused youth under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 4 of Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act-2012, said SHO. Police has already started searching for the accused.
