The workers soon started manhandling each other forcing the police to intervene. CSP of Azad Chowk pacified the workers of both the parties and controlled the situation.
The incident had disrupted the polling for few minutes. At Danveer Bhamashah ward number 11, the BJP and Congress candidates accused each other of distributing cash and clothes among people. Both the candidates confronted each other at the polling booth near Gudhiyari electricity office. The supporters of BJP candidate Budhram Tandon and Congress candidate Ramdas Kurre raised slogans and staged demonstration in front of the polling station.
TI of Gudhiyari police station Pramila Mandavi rushed to the spot with force and pacified the protesters. However, none of the parties lodged a complaint in this regard, police said.
