Chhattisgarh Police on Sunday arrested a 16 year old girl for killing a differently abled man in a broad daylight road rage incident in Raipur city.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police Sukhnandan Rathore told The Pioneer that the minor girl has been taken into custody.
She killed a deaf and dumb man identified as Sudama Lader of Kankalipara area under the Azad Chowk police station limits.
The incident took place around 1 pm, when the girl was going somewhere on her scooter with her mother.
In an attempt to overtake the victim, she pressed horn but Ladre, who was on his bicycle, failed to respond as he could not listen.
The minor had a heated argument with him for not giving her side and in a fit of rage she attacked Ladre on his neck with a sharp knife and fled from the spot.
The locals rushed Ladre to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
After being alerted, the police reached the spot and launched a hunt for the minor.
She was arrested near Mandir Hasaud area in GE Road in the state capital city.
A knife was recovered from her.
A case under section 302 of Indian Penal Code and Arms Act has been lodged against her and further probe is underway.
