With continuous rains pounding the Bastar region, wall of a house belonging to one Kailash Baghel caved in, killing his 11-year-old son on Friday night at Sanjay Nagar, Jagalpur.
The district administration after getting the information rushed to the incident spot while Bastar Collector Dr Ayyaz Tamboli sanctioned Rs 4 lakh to the family.
Jagdalpur MLA Rekhchand Jain, Mayor Jatin Jaiswal and SDM Jagdalpur G R Markam on Saturday afternoon handed over a cheque of Rs 4 lakh to the nearest kin of the deceased. Jain and Jaiswal expressed grief over the incident and assured state government’s support.
