Chhattisgarh Excise Minister and tribal leader Kawasi Lakhma on Monday denied BJP charges that tribals in Bastar were converting at the behest of the Congress government.
Lakhma told the media here that not a single conversion had taken place in Bastar since Congress government was formed in late 2018.
“The BJP has no issue and is doing propaganda over a fake issue in order to impress its mother organisation RSS," he claimed.
He praised Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for financially assisting the institution of Ghotul in Bastar’s Abujhmad areas and for establishing tribals’ place of worship Devgudis.
“Tribals of Bastar are moving ahead towards prosperity in the Congress regime and have given a clean mandate to the party their development," he said.
