Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ajay Chandrakar on Saturday inaugurated State ranking table tennis championship at Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College here in which over 150 players from 20 districts are participating.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the tournament, Chandrakar said Chhattisgarh Government is dedicated to promotion and development of sport in the state as well as players.
Meanwhile, the minister also highlighted the importance of sports in life of individual and also extended his greeting towards organiser for hosting the championship.
On the occasion, president of Chhattisgarh table tennis association Sharad Shukla, president of table tennis association in the city Anil Pusadkar, dean of the medical college A K Chandrakar, General Manager of State Bank of India (SBI) A N Jha and others were also present.
