Minister for regular monitoring of home isolated patients

Chhattisgarh School Education Minister and in-charge Minister of Korba district Premsai Singh Tekam on Thursday told health officials to regularly monitor the Covid positive patients in home isolation.

He also urged officials to strictly enforce the lockdown, an official press release said.

“As per the instructions of the state government, a patient should be allowed to be in home isolation only if the house has sufficient space for other members as well. If such arrangements are not available, then the patient should be kept in Covid care centre or Covid hospital,” Tekam was quoted as saying.

He told officials to monitor the patients in home isolation and see if they were consuming the medicines given to them.

The Minister called for proper disposal of waste produced from the houses of such patients.

District Collector Kiran Kaushal told the Minister that currently there are 746 patients in home isolation in Korba district.

Doctors are regularly monitoring their health. So far 12 patients were shifted to Covid hospital after their health deteriorated, the Collector said.
