Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya on Tuesday appealed the villagers to go for organic farming this Kharif season.
The Minister was addressing a function on ‘Akti Tihar’ and ‘Mati Pujan Diwas’, organized at Adarsh Gauthan in village Charota in Balod district.
On this occasion, she offered prayers to ‘Bhuiyan’ Mata (earth) and extended wishes to the people on the occasion of Akti Tihar and Mati Pujan Diwas.
Sanjari-Balod MLA Sangeeta Sinha was also present.
Bhediya also gave blessings to 19 couples who married at a ceremony organized under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.
She distributed vegetable mini kits to beneficiaries under the scheme of the Horticulture Department and seeds of fragrant paddy to beneficiaries.
