leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly T S Singhdeo has demanded Shikshakarmis’ service merger with the School Education Department.
Singhdeo in a letter addressed to Chief Minister Raman Singh had said that even with the formation of Chhattisgarh as a separate state, it has followed the traditions of the Madhya Pradesh in all respective orders and legal provisions.
In a recent development, the Madhya Pradesh government has done the merger of services of Rs 3 lakh Shikshakarmis and Chhattisgarh too should follow the step, he demanded.
In such a situation, the 1,80,000 Shikshakarmis of Chhattisgarh should also be benefitted with the merger and an announcement should be made at the earliest, he said.
It is not a matter that we have to follow Madhya Pradesh, but as it is justifiable, the merger must be done, demanded Singhdeo.
