The mercury crossed 45 degree mark in Raipur on Saturday. The cloudy situation coupled with humidity made the situation worst.
According to meteorological department during the next 24 hours sporadic rain showers is expected in some parts of the State which may bring down the temperature.
Sources in the meteorological department further said minor changes in maximum temperatures were recorded in different parts of the State. On Saturday, in almost all cities of State the normal temperature was higher as compared to past 48 hours. People had to walk the scorching heat. The maximum temperature recorded was 46.2 degrees today in Bilaspur. Raipur recorded 45.3 degree Celsius temperature, while Durg had 44.4 degree Celsius, Pendra Road 43.2. The Northern part of state Ambikapur and extreme south city Jagdalpur recorded 41.5 and 42.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
