For the rationalisation of polling booths as per the directives issued by Election Commission of India, a meeting was chaired by Collector Gariaband Niranjan Das here on Tuesday.
According to official information the discussion to make new polling centers for various elections was also held during the meeting in which representatives of various political parties also took part.
The proposal for changing the building of seven polling booths in Rajim and 16 polling booths in Bindranawagarh constituencies was approved during the meeting. The proposals were sent by Tahsildars.
Meanwhile, several suggestions that were also provided by the representatives of various political parties were taken and for examination.
Deputy district returning officers and additional Collector Roktima Yadav along with members of the BJP, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) were present in the meeting.
