The Chhattisgarh Medical Teachers Association on Saturday urged Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo to ensure there is no direct recruitment to posts above that of assistant professor and these should be filled up through promotion.
A memorandum an Association delegation presented to the Minister said if any complaint is made against teachers engaged also in administrative work, they should be get a chance to state their side of the story.
The Association had earlier given a proposal to rectify the anomalies in the 7th Pay Commission regarding associate professors. This should be expedited, it said.
During the time of annual increment of pay fixation, the doctors should be given the option to do private practice or taking up non-commercial allowance or opt out.
The association also demanded that doctors who worked without leave during Covid-19 should be compensated with special leave or adequate honorarium.
